FedBD Management
John Cronin is the founder of Federal Business Development, Inc. Having spent the past twenty-five years exclusively within the U.S. Federal marketplace, John witnessed many attempts at companies trying to penetrate and thrive in this space, some being successful, but many others less so. FedBD was established to provide companies with the expertise, guidance, and personnel necessary to ensure success and to minimize costs and delays.

John served as the Federal Vice President for a leading provider of advanced knowledge management and information retrieval software. John managed all aspects of the company’s public sector operations as well as their government oriented corporate alliances. The technology focus was Knowledge Management for government agencies, both intranet and Internet based. Clients supported included Homeland Security, Energy, State, Army, Air Force, various national security organizations and more than 50 other Federal agencies. As VP Federal, John managed all aspects of the business unit including Marketing, Sales, Alliances and Federal contract mechanisms such as GSA, SEWP, and small/disadvantaged businesses. Under John’s leadership, the firm established itself as the number one provider of such technology in the entire Federal marketplace.

President – Business Data Solutions, Inc. (BDSI): An integration services firm specializing in business process automation including workflow, document processing and management, and related technologies. BDSI operated primarily in the Federal marketplace, it’s clients included major firms and Federal systems integrators such as SAIC, PRC, AT&T, and Oracle. John was responsible for management of all business development and project management activities for BDSI.

Director of Alliances – Eastman Software, a Kodak Company: Document imaging and workflow software vendor utilizing third party channels to facilitate sales to the U.S. government. John established and managed alliances and channel sales in the Federal government for Eastman, utilizing a hybrid direct/channels go-to-market strategy.

John began his career as a software engineer, working for firms such as Computer Sciences Corporation and PRC. John holds a B.S. degree in applied mathematics. He is actively involved in community related activities and industry organizations.
